Pinwheels - Needlepoint Kit

A garden store near our studio offered an incredible visual surprise, a giant display of bright reflective iridescent pinwheels. The display drew people in like moths to a flame, including present company. In our frugality, sadly we bought only three. (What were we thinking?) Intrigued by the shifts of color and reflections, we decided to create our first needlepoint kits.
Made of all natural materials, the Zweigart Mono canvas is a 100% Cotton 12ct weave. English yarn is made from 100% wool. Needle and needle threader are provided.

Shallow Thing

This round shallow thing has a diversity in uses. It can be a place to store loose change, seashells from your vacation, be hung on the wall, hold ashes from your cigar… or serve whatever purpose you can think of. Made of light beige stoneware, it is glazed with celadon. Its an object of beauty that plays well with the other kids on the playground.

Not quite itty-bitty, but pretty close, this hand thrown vase is made of stoneware and glazed with shino and a matte turquoise.

Starry Vessel

This vessel thrown by hand in a light beige clay body is glazed with stars. The outer glaze contains flecks of iron which spread through the glaze during firing. Perfect for hiding little treats.
